Biggest Things First

Brad, Doug, and the Ghost Rider

Knowing nothing about Knotts before passing through its gates, we relied on the old Disneyland technique of hitting big attractions first and trying to beat the crowd.  Ghostrider was the first ride we stumbled across, so we just got in line.  We knew it was a wooden roller coaster, but we had no idea how long, how fast, or how intense it was (longest, fastest, most intense wooden roller coaster we've ever experienced).  Had we known, or had the boys seen the coaster (the size is completely hidden from the line inside the building) the boys never would have gone on it.  As it was, they were a mixture of pleased to have survived, proud to have gone, and mad at their parents for subjecting them  to it.  It was the best ride of the day.
